Rumoured specifications of the Google Pixel XL (2017 Edition) were leaked recently and now, Android Police has shared an rendered image that offers a glimpse at the design of the phone. Though not a final design.

The image is actually a “recreation” based on evidence from a reliable source. As per the image, it looks like the new pixel will have a metal body with a glass panel on the back as on last year’s phone. There is a single non-protruding camera module at the top with dual-tone LED flash and the fingerprint sensor is placed outside the glass area this time. The rear of the phones also has a fingerprint scanner and curves around the edges.

On the front, Pixel XL 2 looks like every other Android phone released this year: the bezels are slimmed down and the corners of the screen are rounded (resemblance to the LG G6). Unlike the G6, the display is a 6-inch AMOLED display made by LG with 2:1 aspect ratio (18:9 aspect ratio just like the LG G6 and the Galaxy S8). The report mentions: the Google Pixel XL (2017 Edition) will be squeezable, just like the HTC U11. You’ll be able to put pressure on the sides of the frame and a function will happen.
